At the 2010 upfront on Thursday (May 20), The CW leaked some juicy details about “Gossip Girl‘s” Season 4 premiere.
When we last saw Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), he had just been shot by a mugger, and his life hung in the balance as Blair (Leighton Meester) jetted off to Paris with Serena (Blake Lively).
Spoiler alert! Fans can rest easy. “Chuck can’t die,” Connor Paolo (Eric van der Woodsen) toldZap2it when we checked in with him at the upfronts. “You can’t kill Chuck Bass.”
The CW confirms that Chuck will be back to ruin Blair and Serena’s Parisian fun when he “mysteriously arrives in town with a new girlfriend and a new identity.” Could Chuck be experiencing some trauma-induced amnesia? The CW suggests that he’s now a “changed man” and might just have a chance at winning Blair back after all.
There seems to be even more drama off the set of “Gossip Girl” than on the show itself.
According to a scoop in the New York Post’s Page Six column, ”Gossip Girl” stars and real-life lovers Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr have broken up after Westwick heard from pals that she cheated on him.
The paper reveals Szohr got a little too close to one of Westwick’s buddies while she was recently celebrating her 25th birthday in L.A. and he was away filming a movie in Europe.
When mutual friends squealed to Westwick about her alleged hook-up, he “split with Szohr in an emotional phone call last week,” reports Page Six.
Felicity Jones, Ed Westwick, Tamsin Egerton, Christine Baranski and Bill Nighy, along with professional snowboarder Tara Dakides, are lined up to star in the romantic comedy “The Chalet Girl,” directed by Phil Traill.
The project, written by Tom Williams and produced by Pippa Cross and Harriet Rees, appears on the slate of the new U.K. sales joint venture between Metropolis International Sales and Timeless Films, which is making its EFM debut this year.
Billed as a romantic comedy, the story details the story of a young girl from a working class suburb who lands a job in an ultra-glam ski resort, where she’s totally out of her depth until she discovers her natural snowboarding genius — and the boss’s gorgeous son.
NB: I’m in Austria shooting this really cool movie called Chalet Girl, and it’s this sweet little romantic comedy. I play a guy named Nigel who is sort of a goofy American boy, 21, sort of the type of guy that just wants to get laid, but has no tact. And it’s really fun. I’m actually working with the director of a few episodes of 10 Things, this guy, Phil Traill. And Ed Westwick is starring in it and Bill Nighy, a really well-known English guy, so it’s fun. I’m working with all British people. It’s been interesting.
